Having worked with vulnerable children and adults for the past 18 years, my work has taken me to many different countries (Cambodia, India and East Africa). Living in Uganda, I worked with street children and vulnerable women, which inspired me to deepen my understanding in both other cultures and holistic community care. My BA in intercultural studies and practical pastoral training lead me to working with vulnerable women in a drop-in centre in central London, which inspired my MA in Art Psychotherapy. This has also given me practical training working as a therapist for 3 years, in a Pupil Referral Unit for teenagers kicked out of school, a primary school, and a charity for refugees who have been tortured. This has given me a broad range of experience in many different areas of therapeutic practice. During Lockdown I have seen the need for therapists increase rapidly, inspiring me to start online therapy groups for the local community. I am passionate about giving people the time they need to be vulnerable and a safe space to look after their mental wellbeing. I love working with each individual and drawing on the right tools to both empower them and heal deeper emotional wounds.
